C Precautions and Limitations
187
Appendices
The function of limiting IP
receiving does not work as
set.
When carrying out
IPP printing.
When an IPP print job is received via
proxy server, the conditions could occur.
When using the Limit on IP Receiving,
handle it by the following method:
(1) Stop activation of the IPP port.
(2) When setting the receiving
permission, set without the proxy
server, if necessary.
(3) When setting the receiving
permission, set by including the
address of the proxy server included,
if necessary.
If a wrong tab of the network
utility is clicked, it is displayed
in gray.
Details of display may not be
reflected.
-
While the setting of network (without
network expansion card) is being
displayed on the network utility, the
conditions could occur when the
machine goes into power-saving mode
(Mode 2). When changing the setting,
care should be taken not to let the
machine go into power-saving mode
(Mode 2) through this method:
(1) Nullify power-saving mode (Mode 2).
(2) Change the setting before going into
power-saving mode (Mode 2).
The port number used for raw
printing is the value from 0 to
65535.
If any value other than those is
entered and set, it is set to
9100 by default.
When printing on the
TCP/IP Direct Print
Utility.
-
The [Job on standby] is
displayed in the status field on
the Pconsole, but [Paper-out]
is not shown. (The [Paper-out]
appears in remote printer
mode of Directory Service of
NetWare 4.x).
When using bindery
remote printer mode
of NetWare 3.x.
This limit is ascribable to the NetWare
server. Use as it is, because it is not a
fault.
