When printing has not been correctly processed, the information will be saved in Print History.
When printing has not been processed, make use of the Print History feature to check the print processing
condition. Print data that cannot be correctly processed might be discarded.
"5.4 Outputting Reports/Lists" for details on how to print the Print History.
No printing is sent but
display shows
"Printing".
Is the power of the computer turned
on after the printer has been on?
Just wait for five minutes or press
and
together to stop
printing.
When switching on the power of the
printer, check whether the host device is
switched on.
Poor print quality.
There might be an image error.
Refer to "7.2 When the Print Quality
is Poor" and treat accordingly.
The correct
characters are not
printed (printing
garbage).
The printer is printing with non-
standard built-in fonts.
1. Check the printer-resident fonts by
the "PCL Font List" and the font
indication of the driver.
2. Try to use the font downloaded
from the driver.
The Processing
indicator is on or
blinking but no paper
is output.
There is data remaining in the printer. Stop printing or force the remaining
data to be output.

Paper tray is stuck.
During printing, has the cover been
opened or the power switched off?
Switch off the power without
forcefully moving the paper tray.
After a few seconds, switch it on.
Check that the printer is in the state
to receive data and then push in/pull
out paper tray.
