Performing WebSetup
After you have performed initial Setup (Server, Network and Printer Setup) from the
Control Panel, you can complete or change most Setup options from WebSetup. You
can also set an Operator password from WebSetup, which cannot be set from the
Control Panel.
Performing WebSetup
In order for network users to access and use WebTools, you need to set certain
DocuColor 40 CP options in Network Setup and Printer Setup. You also need to
prepare each user’s workstation to communicate with the DocuColor 40 CP over the
Internet or intranet.

40 CP:
1.
Print the Configuration page from the Control Panel.
2.
On the Configuration page, check the following:
• In Network Setup>Port Setup, confirm that the appropriate network type (Ethernet
or Token Ring) is enabled.
• In Network Setup>Protocol Setup>TCP/IP Setup, confirm that TCP/IP is enabled
and that there is a valid, unique IP Address for the DocuColor 40 CP.
• In Network Setup>Service Setup, confirm that Web Services are enabled.
• In Printer Setup, confirm that the Print Queue is published.

If all the conditions listed in Step 2 are currently set, the DocuColor 40 CP is properly
set up to use WebTools.
If any of the conditions listed in Step 2 are not currently set, you must change them
before you can use WebTools.
To access WebTools, you must use a Java-enabled browser from a Windows NT 4.0,
Windows 95, or Mac OS workstation. See Getting Started for information on sup-
ported browsers.
