4.6.1.20 Initialization menu
Allows you to returns the setting of the printer’s menus to their defaults.
4.6.1.21 Life Times menu
Allows you to display the remaining operational lifespan of each part.
•
When replacing a part whose operational lifespan has ended:
•
There is no charge for replacing a part within the warranty period or under the
contract.
•
You are liable for the cost of repairs under conditions other than mentioned
above.
•
Do not keep using a part whose operational lifespan has ended (i.e., when there are
no asterisks remaining). Problems caused by doing so will not be covered by the
warranty.

Returns all settings to their factory defaults.
MediaType
Returns the settings of the MediaType menu to their
factory defaults.
ExceptMediaType
Returns the settings of menus other than the MediaType
menu to their factory defaults.

Pressing the [Enter] key causes "Initialing" to be
displayed in the control panel and the printer to begin
the initialization.
•
Pressing the [Cancel] key shifts to the previous menu
without initialization.
4.6.1 Setup menu (Setup item 1 of 7 total)

Head
Displays the remaining operational lifespan expected for
each part.
•
The full operational lifespan of a part is represented
by five asterisks (100%).
•
As the part deteriorates, the number of asterisks
decreases one by one. (Each asterisk represents 20%
of lifespan.)
•
The part should be changed when all of the asterisks
have disappeared, and "Change" is displayed.
Contact your local XEROX dealer for replacement
parts.
