Perform the Alignment procedure.
6.4.2
Transporting the printer
By "transporting" we mean moving the printer over greater distances. When transporting the printer, make
sure to pack it in the same condition it was in when it was shipped to you, using packing materials to
protect it from vibration and shock.
•
Before transporting the printer, consult the XEROX printer dealer at your point of
purchase.
6.4.2.1
Pre-transport procedure
1.
Press the [Power] key to turn the printer ON.
2.
Confirm that "Ready to Print" is displayed in the control panel.
3.
Remove all of the ink cartridges.
4.
Press the [Power] key to turn the printer OFF.
•
"Transport Mode" displays in the control panel and the printer starts ejecting ink.
•
Ink discharging takes about three minutes.
5.
When the ink discharge has been completed, check that the power lamp has turned OFF
.
6.
Dispose of the waste fluid.

- Remove the scroller.

Remove the power and communication cables

Check that the print head is in the rightmost position.
•
There is a flexible, metallic belt very close to the flexible, black CR (carriage return)
belt mentioned in the next step. Be very careful to not touch this metallic belt!
