UPDATING FIRMWARE
Upon closing the window, you will be prompted to run
machine update. This is to ensure that we are running the
latest version of firmware on our engraving system. Select
to continue.
From the list, select your machine that you wish to update and click
. In my case, I am updating Viper (4752) which is my Gift
Engraver.
This is primarily an information screen displaying what
firmware version your controller has currently installed and
what you are about to install on it. Select
RELOAD
to
update the engraving system.
You will notice that during the update there will be a few
different progress bars. This is normal.
When running machine update you should ALWAYS use the Reload button when
installing or reinstalling firmware.
Once the updater has finished, click
to complete the
installation.
If you have either the Jobserver Suite or the Viper Driver installed on
your system, you will no longer need it. The VCS installation does NOT
uninstall either of the two programs.
