- On tarmac or similarly-hard
ground surfaces the tents must
be sufficiently ballasted (see
X GLOO wind certificate).
2) Additionally, you must use an-
choring lines/webbing attached
to the shoulder loops (found on
the outside of each Tube) to se-
cure the Event Tent!
• In windy conditions, be sure to set
up the tent at such an orientation to
the wind so that it offers the least
resistance. In particular, Canopies
and openings which are closed with
Walls should not be aligned against
stronger winds. Wind loads can be
significantly reduced by detatching
the Walls and Canopies.
CAUTION:
In the case of
wind, the zippers on any Walls
or other optional Components
connected to the Tent must
always be pulled completely
closed, otherwise the zipper
can be damaged by exces-
sively-high wind loads put on
individual teeth of the zipper.
Wind gusts exceeding the maximum
speed that the Event Tent is certi-
fied for can lead to structural da-
mage to the Tent that is not cove-
red by the warranty.
CAUTION:
If weather con-
ditions deteriorate dramatically,
all overpressure valves must be
opened immediately and the
tent deflated.
Additionally, the deflated Tent
should be weighted down in order
to prevent the wind from taking hold
of it.
OPERATION
• The inflatable X GLOO Event Tent
is not intended for continuous use
and should be inspected for wear
or damage after every event.
CAUTION:
The protective
strips on the bottom of the
Tubes can wear down when
the Event Tent is set up on
rough terrain and wind causes
the Tent to shift around, and
should therefore be regularly
checked for wear and replaced
as necessary before the Tubes
themselves become damaged.
• X GLOO Tents are not intended to
bear large snow loads.
CAUTION:
In case of
snowfall the accumulating
snow must be regularly remo-
ved from the Roof of the Tent.
If the Tent is unattended and
snowfall is called for, then the
Tent is to be deflated.
• All X GLOO Tents are made of cer-
tified flame-retardant materials.
Nevertheless, these are flammable
substances which burn when the
source of fire is sufficiently strong.
CAUTION:
Keep the Event
Tent away from open fires and
heat sources.
• Fire protection classification
(see available X GLOO certificates):
- DIN 4102-B1 (Abb.: B1) Controls
testing and requirements on the
reaction to fire of building mate-
rials. German norm, used in most
European countries.
