5. PRE-OPERATION CHECK
5.1. EARTH CONNECTION
To prevent electrical shock or electrocution from faulty appliances, before
every use, the generator should be grounded with an insulated lead.
To ground the generator to the earth, connect the grounding lug of the generator to the grounding
spike driven into the earth or to the conductor which has been already grounded to the earth. If such
grounding conductor or grounding electrode is unavailable, connect the grounding lug of the generator
to the grounding terminal of the using electric tool or appliance. (FIG. MU-ACC-16)
5.2. ENGINE OIL LEVEL
The engine oil is a major element which can affect the performances and
the life of your material. Do not use any 2 stroke oil, it would damage the
engine. Check the oil level before every use, on a plane surface when the
engine is stop.
1. Remove the screws, and then remove the cover. (FIG. MU-ACC-17)
2. Remove the oil filler cap and wipe the dipstick clean. (FIG. MU-ACC-18)
3. Check the oil level by inserting the dipstick into the filler neck without screwing it in.
4. If the level is low, add the recommended oil to the upper mark on the dipstick. (FIG. MU-ACC-20)
and (FIG. MU-ACC-21).
5. After adding, don’t forget to refit and screw down the oil dipstick.
