11. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Daily

Check all components according to ‘’PRE-OPERATING CHECKS’’.
•
Check and refill gasoline and engine oil.
•
Check oil filter, clean it if necessary.
After 20 h or
for the 1st month
•
Change engine oil (more often if used in dusty or dirty environment).
•
Clean air filter.
Every 50 h
•
Change oil (more often if used in dusty or dirty environment).
•
Wash air cleaner foam element (more often if used in dirty or dusty
environments).
Every 100 h
•
Clean fuel strainer and the fuel sediment cup.
•
Check the spark plug and clean it if necessary.
Every 200 h
•
Replace air cleaner foam element.
•
Clean and adjust spark plug gap.
•
Change engine oil (more often if used in dusty or dirty environment).
Every 300 h
•
Check and adjust valve clearance.
•
Clean the carbon of the crankcase.
•
Remove carbon from cylinder head and the top of the cylinder.
•
Replace engine mount rubber.
Every 1000 h

Inspect control panel parts.
•
Check rotor and stator.
•
Replace engine mount rubber.
•
Overhaul engine.

Change fuel lines.

Maintenance operations require trained and qualified personnel.

The maintenance schedule is given as a guide. Under severe conditions, the frequency of
maintenance must be increased.

More often if the generator is used in a dusty environment

These items should be serviced by an authorized generator dealer.

For a frequent use, only a maintenance appointment in the specified intervals guaranteed a long
term smooth running of the generator.

Initial oil change should be performed after first twenty (20) hours of use. Thereafter change oil every
50 hours. Before changing the oil, check for a suitable way to dispose of the old oil. Do not pour
it down sewage drains, onto garden soil or into open streams. Your local zoning or environmental
regulations will give you more detailed instructions on proper disposal.
Improper maintenance, or failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause a
malfunction by which you can be seriously hurt or killed. Always follow the inspection
and maintenance recommendations and schedules in this owner’s manual.
