The test run consists of verifying the following: 1) The 

motor powers up and runs correctly, and 2) the safety 

disabling mechanism on the switch works correctly.

To.test.run.machine,.do.these.steps:

1.

  Clear all setup tools away from machine.

2.

  Connect machine to power supply.

3.

  Push STOP button in, then twist it clockwise so it 

pops out—this resets the switch so it will start the 

machine (see 

Figure.20

).

4.

  Push the START button to start the machine. A 

correctly operating machine runs smoothly with little 

or no vibration or rubbing noises.

5.

  Press STOP button to stop machine.

6.

  WITHOUT resetting switch, press START button. The 

machine should not start.

— If machine 

does

 

not 

start, the STOP button safety 

feature is working correctly. Congratulations! The 

Test Run is complete.

— If machine 

does

 start (with STOP button pushed 

in), immediately disconnect power to machine. 

The STOP button safety feature is not working 

correctly. This safety feature must work properly 

before proceeding with regular operations. Call 

Tech Support for help.

Once assembly is complete, test run the machine to 

ensure it is properly connected to power and safety 

components are functioning properly.

If you find an unusual problem during the test run, 

immediately stop the machine, disconnect it from power, 

and fix the problem BEFORE operating the machine again.
