Lock the car and the counterweight and ensure that all of the necessary safety precautions are observed for the lift
system. The lift may move in an uncontrolled manner.

Ideally, the manual releasing device should be installed without the ropes in place.
f
Install the manual releasing device while the brake is disconnected from the power supply.
1. Install the lever block (1) with two M 12 bolts in a
suitable location in the vicinity of the lift machine.

2. Insert the Bowden cable (2) – the ends with the
spring – into the manual release lever of the
brake (3.)

3. Insert the Bowden cable (2) into the lever block
(1) in position (4). To do this, remove the lever (5).
4. Perform a functional test (at least three times).

The Bowden cable has to be installed in wide arcs only (bending radius > 0.5 m, if possible).
