SECTION 7 –
PLUMBING
•
Turn Winterization Valve 1
(Water Heater
Bypass) to bypass position.
•
Open the latch with your thumb while pulling
the Easy Drain Lever down as far as it will go.
•
Remove the water inlet filter and clean with
clean water. Leave the water filter inlet
removed until the Winterization process is
complete or the system is placed back in use.
6.
Open Faucets.
Turn on the Water Pump
switch and open all sink faucets and shower
head knobs. Leave open after water stops
flowing.
7.
Drain Toilet.
Press the toilet flush pedal (or
electric wall switch, if your motorhome is
equipped with an electric flush toilet) and hold
until water stops flowing in the toilet. Then
turn Water Pump switch off.
8.
Connect Air Pressure.
After water has
stopped draining at all faucets and drain
valves, leave faucets open and connect a
“blow-out” plug to the Fresh Water Inlet (city
water connection) in the water service center.
Then use a compressed air hose regulated to
30 psi or less to force air through the system.
A blow-out plug can be purchased at any
Winnebago Industries
®
dealer.
NOTE: DO NOT burst air into the system. This
can damage the water pump. It is better
to let air in slowly.
9.
Let air flow for five minutes
until water is
completely drained out of faucets and drain
valves. Then close faucets one at a time.
