SECTION 4 –
APPLIANCES AND SYSTEMS
To Replace the Air Gap:
1. Turn off the Water Heater switch and
incoming water supply (city water and/or
demand pump).
2. Open a faucet in the motorhome to relieve
water pressure.
3. Pull the handle of the P-T valve straight out
and allow water to flow until it stops.
4. Let the handle of the P-T valve snap shut.
5. Close the faucet and turn on the water supply
before switching the water heater on.
Manually operate the pressure temperature
relief valve at least once a year.
NOTE: If your water heater is equipped with the
motoraid system, it uses an extension
from the engine cooling system to heat
water in the water heater while driving.
The engine cooling system must also be
cold before opening the pressure-
temperature relief valve. See “Motoraid
Water Heater” for more information.
THERMOSTAT
(Heating and Cooling)
The Electronic Thermostat (located on the
multiplex monitor panel) controls the propane
furnace, as well as the two separate roof air
conditioners in your motorhome. The living and
galley area is equipped with one air conditioner,
and the bedroom and bath area is equipped with
another.
When controlling the settings from the
Thermostat, you must manually press the Zone
Button and set to your preference by toggling to
either Zone 1 or Zone 2.
•
ZONE 1 - Living/Galley Area
•
ZONE 2 - Bedroom/Bath Area
The Thermostat system will operate in both
heat and cool modes, but will not allow you to
run both heat and cool modes simultaneously.
Auto Mode allows you to set both a “Cool”
temperature and a “Heat” temperature to
automatically maintain a desired comfort
temperature.
•
Select the desired heat source.
•
Fan speed is Auto only.
•
Settings are shared between bedroom and
lounge to ensure that A/C and Heat Pump
cannot be run at the same time.
CAUTION
Hot water can escape from tank causing
injury. Operate this valve only when the
tank water is cold.
• Lift handle straight out to open P-T valve
when water heater is cold.
