Commissioning
An extension lead that may be used for connection of the appliance

to the mains power supply must be uncoiled and must have a length
of not more than 3 metres and a cross-section of 1.5 mm². The use of
multiway adapters or multiple socket outlets is forbidden due to the
associated fire hazard.
The connecting lead must not be strained.

electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when it is con-
nected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system.
Connection to a plug socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in
doubt, have the house installation checked by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by
a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.
Installing the drip tray
Before using the grind and brew coffee maker, the drip tray must be in-
stalled and the appliance connected to the power supply. Proceed as
follows:
Push in the drip tray until it engages on the right under the water
tank.
Connect the appliance to the mains power supply, then open the flap
of the cable storage compartment and stow the remaining connecting
lead.
