Foaming and heating milk by steam generation
You can foam and heat milk with hot steam. As a higher temperature is
required for steam generation than for coffee preparation, the appliance
has an additional steam mode.
WARNING
Risk of scalding when the steam nozzle is active!
Observe the following safety precautions to avoid scalding yourself
and/or others:
Hot water or steam from the steam nozzle can cause scalding. Activa-

te the steam nozzle only when it is immersed in the milk.
To foam milk by steam generation, proceed as follows:
Select the function "steam generation" by pressing button (B)
. The
appliance heats up for approx. 30 seconds. The following then appear
alternately on the display:

If the steam function is not used for longer than approx. 60 seconds,

the appliance switches back automatically to the selection menu
(coffee mode).
