Determining the water hardness
Before using the appliance for the first time you should set it to the approp-
riate water hardness for your region. You can determine the water hardness
using the test strip (19) supplied with the appliance. Proceed as follows:
Dip the test strip in cold water for 1 second and shake off the excess
water. After roughly 1 minute you can read off the water hardness in
the pink-coloured fields.
