Test Procedure

" & 8" COIL ELEMENTS
To test a coil element, perform the following
steps:
1.
Use an ohmmeter and set the range switch
to R x 1.
2.
With no power applied, unplug the coil
element from the terminal block.
3.
Touch the leads of the ohmmeter to the
terminals of the coil element and mea-
sure the resistance (see the chart below
for the correct reading for the coil you are
testing).
If the above results are not obtained, the ele-
ment is defective and should be replaced.
