Troubleshooting & Diagnostic:
Not delivered ice
(ice produced but not crushed / delivered)
IDI appliances
Check if the DC motor is
working when Ice
dispensing paddle is
pressed and freezer
compartment door is
closed (Ice section child
lock not activated).
If there is no activation of
the DC motor, check the
correct connection of the
wiring involved to activate
the DC motor.
If all the above is OK, check the functionality of the
micro switch for the ice dispensing paddle and the
correct contact from the paddle to the switch.
On IDI appliances produced in 2008:
A wrong IDI ice crusher motor could generate a
failure of the user interface board and a customer
claim of ‘not delivered ice’.
Check the ice crusher motor (see below), and if
necessary replace the motor and the electronic
board according to the
Service Bulletin 4812 711
40306.
If all the above is OK, the problem comes from the
User Interface board. Change it and pay attention to
the handling.

NOTE:
On
appliances with
electronic paddle,
the DC motor is
driven by the
electronic paddle or
by the Main Board
(the User is not
involved).
If all the above is OK, check the functionality of the
electronic paddle with a multimeter and the
connections.
If all the above is OK, the problem comes from the
Main Board.
