The feeding details for individual animals are entered in the main menu under ”Feeding”.
The corresponding feeding details can be entered ”by hand” ie manually by filling in an en-
try form -- or calculated automatically by means of an adjustable feed graph.
NOTE:
If the automatic feed graph is to be used, the feed type ”Feed” must always be se-
lected as the first feed type when setting up the feed graph!
The DAIRYPLAN operating manual contains a detailed description of the feeding details.
The amounts of feed specified are then allocated in a 24--hour cycle commencing at the start
of feeding. The start time for feeding can be specified under DPSetup> System> General
Feed Control> Feeding Times.
For a quick reference to the current feed entitlements of individual animals, please select
DPSingle from the main menu (click on the cow’s head icon in the bottom right--hand cor-
ner) and select the corresponding animal.
In order to specify an amount of feed directly for an animal for test purposes, please click
on ”Other” in DPSingle, select the required feed types in the ”Feed” list and enter a corres-
ponding amount of feed under ”Entitlement” and ”Current Remaining Interval”.
NOTE: If a feed type is used for the variable percentage of milk, the desired percentage (eg
”0.4” for 40%) for this feed type must only be entered in the ”Entitlement” field. When ma-
king up the feed, the corresponding percentage of water in the amount of feed will be repla-
ced by milk.
