Overview of hardware components

Item Components

Function

Sensor

Detects bins and forwards the status information to

the SensorBox.

SensorBox

Receives the sensor status of up to 4 bins per

location. Forwards the data to the bus system.

SmartBox

Receives data from up to 50 SensorBoxes via the

bus system and transmits it to the Transceiver.

If the optional barcode scanner is used, the

SmartBox also warns about misplaced products.

Transceiver

Receives statuses from up to 20 SmartBoxes.

Transfers data to the Server Service (Software). The

data is then stored the database and displayed on

client PCs.

Up to 4 Transceivers may be connected to a

database.

Power is supplied via the included mains plug-top

adapter. The Transceiver is connected to the

network via Ethernet cable. Maximum wireless

range: 300 m (line-of-sight)
