Apply Tension to the Bowstring
1. Lift a bowstring upward by hand to remove any slack.
2. While lifting the bowstring, turn the hex jam nut, 1-8, clockwise as shown below until the jam nut is
snug against the jack tube.
3. Use a 1-1/2" open end wrench and
turn the jam nut an addition full turn clockwise (six flats)
.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 above on all of the other bowstrings.

Note:
Turn the jam nut clockwise until it is snug against the jack tube.
Then, turn the jam nut an additional full turn clockwise (six flats).
Do not load weights onto the
Arbor until tension is applied
to all of the Bowstrings.
