Removing the Pinion Shaft & Bearings

The following procedure outlines the removal of the pinion shaft bearings.

If necessary, unscrew and remove the key
from the pinion shaft keyway.

Disconnect the oil lube lines and drain and
then unbolt the pinion oil seal plate. Be sure
to support the pinion shaft to prevent it from
moving.

Slide the oil seal plate and spacer free of
the pinion shaft.
