Ensure that the numbers stenciled on each
side of the piston rod clamps match, and
install around the piston rod and crosshead
extension end flanges respectively, ensuring
that the water connection holes remain at the
top center.

8

Assemble the clamp halves. Ensure that a
gap of ½” or less exists between the clamp
halves, but that they are not touching. If they
touch, replace the clamps. Torque the bolts
to 314 ft. lbs.
