allow the instrument to stabilize for one hour before you perform a calibration.
3.13 Cleaning the exterior of the equipment
Warning:
To avoid electric shock:
• Ensure that the electrical power to the equipment is interrupted.
• When cleaning the surface of the equipment, apply water to a cloth, and then wipe
the instrument or device. Do not spray or otherwise apply water directly onto any
equipment surface.
Warning:
To avoid personal injury, use eye and hand protection during the cleaning
process.
Required tools and materials
• Chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves
• Protective eyewear
To clean the exterior of the equipment:
• Clean surfaces of the equipment using only a clean, soft, lint-free paper towel or clean cloth
dampened with water.
3.14 Replacing the air filters
Warning:
To avoid spreading contamination with biologically hazardous, toxic, and corrosive
materials, dispose of all waste materials according to local environmental regulations.
Air filters are located in two places on the instrument. One air filter is situated in a recess above
the source and the other is located underneath the front of the instrument and is held in place by
a thumbscrew.

To replace the air filters:
