Assemble the Foot Filter & Weight.
6.5.1 Prepare the chemical drum to enable the chemical tube to pass through the exit
point of the drum. This can be done by drilling a hole in the cap to the approximate
size of the chemical tube (7-8mm). Feed the tube through the drum cap and then fit
the foot filter and weight.

6.5.2 To fit the foot filter & weight, take the end of the chemical tube and push the weight
over the end, ensuring the concave-shaped end of the weight is orientated to face
the end of the tube. Slightly expand the end of the chemical tube with pointy nose
pliers or similar before fitting the foot filter. See fig 6.16 and 6.17.
6.5.3 Fit the foot filter over the end of the expanded chemical tube and then pull the
ceramic weight back over the end of the tube. See fig 6.18.
6.5.4 Remove the external housing and front cover to enable easy connection of the
chemical tubes (See fig 6.21). Connect the inlet and outlet chemical tubes to each
dosing pump as per fig 6.22 and 6.23.
