Description:
Latch value
The current latch value is indicated in this field.
This field is only displayed when you have selected "Incremental
position encoder" as the encoder in the
Counter function
field.
Latch status
The status of the latch input is indicated in this field.
Default setting: inactive
This field is only displayed when you have selected "Incremental
position encoder" as the encoder in the
Counter function
field.
State gate
This field indicates the gate status.
This field is only displayed when you have selected "Incremental
position encoder" as the encoder in the
Counter function
field.
Gate input
Use this field to select the input that will be used as the gate input. You
can select the following settings:
- deactivated*
- Connector 1
(X1,CH0) DI1
- Connector 2
(X1,CH1) DI2
- Connector 3
(X2,CH2) DI3
- Connector 4
(X2,CH3) DI4
- Connector 6/8
(X3,CH5/X4,CH7) DI6/DI8
Counter channel
Connector 6 is indicated for counter channel 1, and
connector 8 for counter channel 2.
This field is only displayed when you have selected "Incremental
position encoder" as the encoder in the
Counter function
field.
Multiturn count
Enter the number of revolutions here, after which the preset function
should be triggered.
If a value N greater than 1 is entered, the preset signal is only evaluated
every n
th
time.
Default setting: 1
This field is only displayed when you have selected "Incremental
position encoder" as the encoder in the
Counter function
field.
Counter overrun status
This field indicates whether a counter overrun has occurred.
The indicator becomes inactive again as soon as the counter reading
reaches half of the total counting range.

field.
