14.4 Calibrating the pressure transducer
The pressure transducer has to be correctly calibrated in order to make accurate pressure measurements. Cali-
bration is required:
•
Every four weeks
•
If the A/C service unit has been subjected to heavy shaking
•
Every time the vacuum pump oil is changed
•
If the display shows implausible pressure readings

The device evacuates the service hoses.
8.
Unscrew the service couplings from the service hoses (7) and (8).

to confirm.
The device equalizes with the ambient pressure.
10.
Screw the service couplings and hand-tight onto the service hoses (7) and (8), taking care not to mix up the
red and blue markings on the couplings and hoses.

You can look up the current atmospheric pressure for your region on the Internet, for example at

11.
Use the keypad to enter the current local atmospheric pressure and press ENTER to confirm.
12.
When calibration has been completed, press
ENTER
to exit the menu.
13.
Press
STOP
twice to access the standby menu.
14.
To evacuate the service hoses, perform a short vacuum phase (see
on page 20).
14.5 Changing the vacuum pump oil
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
Touching uninsulated parts may result in serious injury. Switch off the
A/C service unit and unplug it from the power supply before opening the housing. the A/C service unit
may only be repaired by personnel authorized by Dometic.

Before changing the oil, let the vacuum pump run for about 10 min (manually, via the menu).
