Height limitation
With eTASC, the vehicle can be lowered or lifted even when the ignition is turned
off. In this case the manual change of height is not electronically monitored, hence
the automatic ECAS height limitation does not work.
It is recommended to install a pneumatic height limitation valve 964 001 002 0.
This valve ‘cuts off’ the pneumatic air supply between air reservoir and eTASC
valve upon reaching the predefined mechanical settings.
Installation of eTASC
Information on installation, see chapter 8.9 ‘Installation of eTASC’, page
.
Height sensors
With 2-point control using TEBS E and ELEX:
Height sensors are subject to the following options for installation and parameter
settings:
1. One height sensor is connected to TEBS E, another height sensor is connected
to ELEX.
2. Both height sensors are connected to ELEX.
3. Both height sensors are connected to TEBS E (from TEBS E4).
Height sensors to be assigned as part of the parameter settings.
Installation
Information on installing the height sensors, see chapter 8.5 ‘Installation height
sensor’, page

6.3.1 Nominal level control
Nominal level
The nominal level is the nominal value for the distance between vehicle body and
vehicle axle. This nominal level is defined by calibration, by setting parameters or
by the driver (e.g. via the SmartBoard).
Function
The actuator is a solenoid valve, which by increasing and decreasing the pressure
in the support bellows bringing the actual level into line with the nominal level.
This occurs if there are:
• Control deviations exceeding a tolerance range (e.g. with changes in weight)
