Installation of eTASC
Assembly
Installing the eTASC is similar to the TASC. A detailed description can be found in
the catalogue ’TASC - Function and Installation’, see chapter 4 ‘Introduction’,
page

Mounting is compatible with TASC and the standard

alves. In case
of any ‘space problems’, the eTASC device can be turned in 90° steps to accom-
modate proper installation. If the device is installed in possible turned angles, the
lever can be removed and re-mounted to pointing down the ‘Stop’ position.
Pneumatic tubing is suggested to use size Ø 12x1.5 mm in order to achieve opti-
mal raising and lowering times.
If the cross-section of tubing between the eTASC device and the air bellows is too
small, or the length of the tubing is too long, the Trailer EBS E may not correctly
identify the manual actuation of the eTASC. Recommended tubing diameters and
lengths are shown in the following table.
A direct tube must be connected from a T-piece to the pressure sensor at Trailer
EBS E (port 5) for detecting the axle load. The T-piece to be installed in such way
that the tube goes ‘straight through’ to port 5 (no elbow air flow) connecting eTASC
and the nearest set of air bellows. When using ‘star-shaped’ connectors/distributors
at the air bellows, the pressure sensor connection from Trailer EBS E needs to
route directly to the distributor.
