Warning signal sequences in the case of power supply via ISO 1185 / ISO 12098
The power supply via ISO 1185 (24N, light) or ISO 12098 is provided as a safety
function in order to maintain important control functions in the event of a power
supply failure from the ISO 7638 plug connection.
If the ISO 7638 plug connection fails completely, warning via pin 5 is not possible.
If the connection via pin 5 is intact, the fault indicator / warning lamp is actuated
and the driver is warned.
Warning signal sequences in the event of unspecified faults in accordance with ECE R 13
Following the switching on procedure and the warning indicator / warning lamp test,
the fault indicator / warning lamp will flash in the event of non-specified faults in ac-
cordance with ECE regulations.
The fault indicator / warning lamp is no longer illuminated when the vehicle's speed
exceeds 10 km/h.
The following states can cause the fault indicator / warning lamp to flash:
• Immobilizer
activated
• Electronic parking brake activated
• Service interval reached (BVA brake lining wear indicator)
• Brake
lining
worn
• Current class 3 faults (e.g. ECAS faults)
• Loss of tire pressure (IVTM)
Warning signal with ignition on without detecting motion
TEBS E switches the warning lamp / warning indicator on 30 minutes after the igni-
tion has been turned on if no speed is detected via the wheel sensors. This func-
tion results in incorrect messages when on a trailer with many axles and several
TEBS E all axles of one TEBS E are lifted.
With TEBS E4 or higher.

General functions
can be used to con-
figure by means of parameters that TEBS E only signals a warning if
no wheel speed is detected even though an axle load is detected.
Alternatively the previous function (warning after 30 minutes) can be
set.
Supply pressure monitoring
Application
Integrated function in the TEBS E Modulator.
Purpose
Monitoring the supply pressure by TEBS E.
Function
Fault indicator / warning lamp:
If the supply pressure drops below 4.5 bar in the
trailer vehicle, the driver is warned by the fault indicator / warning lamp (red and
amber) switching on. If this is the case while in motion, a message is also saved in
the diagnostic memory. The fault indicator / warning lamp only goes out if the sup-
ply pressure exceeds 4.5 bar again.
