7 Grab the central shaft of the hook and
pull it out.

8 Loosen the screws of the needle plate
and remove it.

9 Remove dust, lint, accumulated fabric
fibres and pieces of thread from the
bobbin case, ring cover, hook, feed dog
and hook race by means of a brush.
10 Use a cloth soaked in sewing machine oil
for cleaning the hook and the hook race.
11 Reinstall the needle plate.
12 Apply a drop of oil to the outside of the
hook. Insert the hook and ring cover and
secure them in place with the clamping
bar tack. (The ring cover is easier to
insert if the lower feed dog is pushed up.)
13 Insert the bobbin case and close the hook
cover.
14 Insert the extension table.
15 Reinsert the needle and presser foot
holder.
Notes
Attention: When inserting the bobbin case,
pay very close attention that the bobbin case
finger slides into the opening of the ring cover
(see page 18).
Inserting the bobbin case incorrectly leads to
problems with sewing.
Dust and lint in the area of the hook may lead
to uneven stitches.
