Closed/special overlock stitch
Closed/special overlock stitch:
For sewing and overlocking fabrics
and fabric edges.
Using stitches
Insert the standard presser foot, lower the
presser foot lifter and sew the overlock seam
so that the right needle entry point is just
outside the edge of the fabric.
Note
The changing of the presser foot is described
in the chapter “Changing the presser foot”.
Lingerie stitch
The lingerie stitch is particularly suitable as a
scalloped edging stitch for blouses or lingerie.
1 Turn the edge of the fabric over and tack
it.
2 Place the fabric under the presser foot so
that the right needle entry point runs
slightly over the folded edge of the fabric.
3 The curvature of the edge of the fabric
requires a higher thread tension than
normal.
4 Sew with reduced speed.
