Buttonholes
Determining the button length
Measure the diameter and the thickness of
the button and add 3 mm. Mark the
determined button hole length on the fabric.
Inserting the buttonhole foot
Push the outer frame of the buttonhole foot
back completely.
Place the fabric under the foot so that the
marked buttonhole is exactly in the middle of
the foot. The coloured mark marks the start of
the buttonhole.
Place the thread under the foot and then pull
it to the left or back.
It is recommended to try out the sewing of the
buttonhole on a separate piece of fabric.

Step 1
• Set the pattern selector dial to and
sew the left bar (1).
Step 2
• Set the pattern selector dial to and
sew the front bar tack (2).
Step 3
• Set the pattern selector dial to and
sew the right bar (3).
Step 4
• Set the pattern selector dial to and
sew the rear bar tack (4).
Insert a pin at the inner edge of the front and
rear bar tack crosswise into the buttonhole.
Pierce the middle of the buttonhole with the
ripping knife and cut the buttonhole in one
direction and then the other direction towards
the pin.
