Cylinder Liner

1. Upper O-Ring – EPDM (Black)

3. Lower Sealing Ring – Viton (Purple)

2. Middle Sealing Rings – EPDM (Black)

The cylinder block uses replaceable wet cylinder sleeves. The lower end of each sleeve
is sealed against the block with three elastomer rings. The upper end is sealed with a
ring of EPDM elastomer situated directly under the sleeve collar. This design cools
the upper section of the sleeve better because the area of coolant circulation is larger.

The lower seals are fitted in grooves in the cylinder block. The bottom seal is of a
different material and fluorescent violet in color to distinguish it from the intermediate
seals.
