Bridge Filtering Page
a. Click the
Bridge Filtering
option in the
Configuration
menu and you will see the following screen.
b. You can control the flow of packets across the router using this function. Bridge filtering lets you deny
or allow packets to cross the network based on the MAC address and position of the address within
the packet.
This enables you to restrict or forward messages with a specified address passing through the LAN to
WAN. Choose
Yes
in
Enable Bridge
Filtering
to enable this function.
c. The 201ER is capable of filtering Ethernet packets based on their source/destination address and
protocol type. To restrict certain packets, complete the
ID Source MAC
,
Destination MAC
and
TYPE
field. Enable the
Block
button and click
Add
.
d. If you want to disable bridge filtering mode for one of the local MAC addresses, enable the
Forward
button for the address.
