6.8 OPERATING SYSTEM UPDATE
Whenever a
Cantorum IV Plus
operating system update file is released, it will be made available on the
website www.viscountinstruments.com.
After downloading the file, copy it to the root folder of a USB stick and insert the pen into the connector
[ ] on the back panel when the instrument is off.
Hold down the [TRANSPOSER] and [MAN.I 4'] buttons to turn on the instrument with the
[TEMPERAMENT] button (therefore startup from Stand-By mode): if the USB stick and update file are
recognized and validated the LEDs of the [TRANSPOSER] and [MAN.I 4'] buttons flash alternately to
indicate that the update has started, after which the LEDs stop flashing.
If the USB stick or update file is not recognized or validated, the LEDs of the above buttons do not start
flashing and the panel remains completely off. In this case, turn the instrument off using the [POWER
ON] switch, then try another update. If this should also fail to download the file again and/or use another
USB stick, then redo the update.
