3.7 LOCAL OFF
By activating the Local Off mode, the keyboard of the
Cantorum VI Plus
no longer plays the internal
sound generator.
Cantorum VI Plus
allows you to set the Local Off for each individual section (Bass, Manual I, Manual II)
or for each individual voice.
This mode is also useful to avoid the annoying double note effect when connecting both [MIDI IN] and
[MIDI OUT] ports or the [USB TO HOST] port of the
Cantorum VI Plus
to an external MIDI device
that then retransmits the data (e. g. a sequencer with the "thru" function enabled).
To set the Local Off of a full section, follow this procedure:
1.
Press and hold the [TRANSPOSER] button until all the LEDs on the panel flash twice, with the
LED on the [TRANSPOSER] button flashing continuously.
2.
The [BASS] tabs indicate the section where you want to set the Local Off, as shown in screen
printing below the registers. Press and hold upward (as if to turn off the voice) the register
associated with the desired section.
3.
The second and third register of the Manual I section indicates, as shown in screen printing under
the register itself, the status of the Local Off. With the second register turned on, corresponding to
the number "0", the Local Off is disabled, while with the third register turned on, corresponding to
the number "1", the Local Off is activated. Press one of the two registers to change the status of
the Local Off, after which the first register in the Manual I section flashes for a few moments to
confirm the new configuration.
4.
Press the [TRANSPOSER] button to complete and store the operation.
To set the Local Off for each individual register, follow this procedure:
1.
While holding down the [SET] button, press [TRANSPOSER]. All LED's of the panel flash twice,
after which [TRANSPOSER] continues to blink and the registers are turned on or off to show the
Local Off status of each register according to the rule:
-
Register On: Local Off disabled
-
Register Off: Local Off enabled
2.
Turn the registers off or on to set the Local Off as desired.
3.
Press the [TRANSPOSER] button to complete and store the operation.
N.B.
To quickly select the default voice, press and hold the appropriate ORCHESTRA button for a few
seconds. With this type of selection, however, the voice does not remain stored by switching off
the instrument.
N.B.
When you set a section in Local Off, the respective voices continue to play with notes received
from the[MIDI IN] port.
