The WPA/WPA PSK security standard is strongly recommended.
Some networks allow to have automatic or manually configured addresses. In the former case there’s only need to
select DHCP in the IP settings at the bottom of the dialog:
In the latter case, the IP settings must be set in the same dialog:
• IP address: IPv4 IP address.
• Netmask: Network mask.
•
Gateway: Network gateway.
• DNS 1: IP address of a DNS server.
• DNS 2: IP address of a secondary DNS server.
All the parameters are mandatory.
If the password is correct, it connects to the network as previously shown when connecting automatically.
The network settings will be reloaded and during a few seconds it may happen that these parameters seem disabled,
but it will last until the network interface is completely functional again.
