Sharpening the mowing
blade:
The following points must be
observed when re-sharpening
the mowing blade:
• Cool mowing blade with
water when sharpening.
The blades must not be
allowed to display blue
colouring, as this would
reduce the cutting quality.

If mowing results deteriorate
with time, the mowing blade is
probably blunt.

Maintenance interval:
Before each use
Wear limits:
The
blade thickness
must be
at least
2 mm
at any point.
(Check using slide calliper).
The
blades
may not be
ground back by more than
5 mm
during sharpening.
When inspecting, place a

ruler against the front
blade edge and check for
wear.
CAUTION

A worn blade may break off
and cause serious injuries.
The instructions for blade
maintenance must therefore
always be observed.
Blades are subjected to dif-
fering degrees of wear de-
pending on the location and
duration of use. If you use
the mower on sandy ground
or use it frequently under
dry conditions, the blade will
be subjected to greater
loads and will wear more
quickly than the average.
Tilt the high grass mower
upwards into the
cleaning
