To exit the CID number configuration, press
ESC
key. The LCD appears shown below.
This completes the CID number configuration in case of GSM or PSTN model.
7.2 Comm Test for communication testing
To check whether the communication and connection are properly done, this
Comm Test
menu is
used. To activate the
Comm. Test
press
MENU 1
key.
When user activates this test, it calls first reporting number. This test is applicable for only first
reporting number. The following table shows reporting status as
After that system dials first voice reporting number and LCD shows
dialing status.
After dialing complete number, LCD shows the status.
After call is connected, handshake is performed and sending CID
message to CMS shows its status on LCD.
After successful CID message sending, LCD shows the successful
status.
If test fails, call is not connected, LCD shows Comm. Test fail
status.
If User performed Comm Test and CID reporting number is not
saved then the LCD shows Telephone Number not saved error
message.
The Comm Test is running and if user presses
Esc
key, Comm Test
abort status appears as shown here. To abort or exit from Comm
Test, press
MENU 1
key to select option
Confirm
. After
confirmation call will be disconnected.
In addition to Comm Tests statuses, the following are some additional Comm Test statuses for
GSM
model.
If GSM range is not sufficient to connect the call and user
performed the Comm Test, LCD shows this error message.
