Emissions test mode for testing flue gas with the briefly
raised flow temperature of the heat generator.
Emissions test mode should only be activated by your
flue gas inspector during the annual inspection.
Note
The flue gas inspector can also activate emissions test
mode if the controls have been locked by your heating
contractor.
Emissions test by flue gas inspector
Emissions testing should be performed on the com-
mon exhaust/flue outlet of the micro CHP system. The
gas condensing module must run at full load. The fuel
cell module must be in operation and generating
power.
Activating emissions test mode
Tap the following on-screen buttons:
1.
2. "Test mode"
3.
The fuel cell is being prepared for emissions test
mode, this may take some time.
■
If the fuel cell is in operation, the emissions test
can be carried out.
■
If the fuel cell module is not in operation, the fol-
lowing display is shown:
"Test mode currently not possible; see oper-
ating instructions"
■
Checking the operating status of the fuel cell
(see page 37).
For further steps, see below.
4.
Follow the instructions on the display.
If test mode is possible, the fuel cell and the burner
start. The flow temperature of the heat generator is
shown on the display. Symbol
is displayed.
Note
Ensure that enough heat is transferred while the func-
tion is active.
Measures required if test mode is not possible
■
Whenever possible, carry out emissions testing dur-
ing the heating season.
■
On the day before emissions testing, temporarily set
the operating mode to
"Power generation OFF"
(see page 23).
■
At least one hour before emissions testing, set the
operating mode to
"Ecological"
or
"Economical"
(see page 23).
■
After emissions testing, return the operating mode to
"Ecological"
,
"Economical"
or
"Energy manager
OFF"
, depending on the previously selected mode.
Note
It is not recommended to manually start the fuel cell
immediately before the emissions test. Depending on
the heat-up condition of the DHW cylinder and the heat
drawn by the heating circuits, it cannot be guaranteed
that the fuel cell would operate long enough to carry
out the emissions test. The start phase may take up to
2.5 hours.
Ending emissions test mode
■
Automatically after 30 minutes
Or
■
Tap .
