Switching off heat generation with frost protection monitoring ("Standby mode")
For
every
heating circuit, select the
"Standby mode"
operating program and switch off DHW heating.
■
No central heating
■
No DHW heating
■
Frost protection for the appliance and the DHW cylin-
der is active.
■
Power generation by the fuel cell remains switched
on. If no heat is being drawn, power generation is
interrupted.
Note
■
The circulation pumps are briefly started every 24
hours to prevent them from seizing up.
■
The diverter valves are switched over at regular
intervals.
Switching off heat generation without frost protection monitoring
■
No central heating
■
No DHW heating
■
Frost protection for the appliance and the DHW cylin-
der is
not
active.
■
Power generation will be interrupted. The fuel cell
remains connected to the external power supply.
1.
Switch off power generation by the fuel cell (see
page 23).
2.
Check the operating status of the fuel cell. For this,
call up the fuel cell menu in
"Information"
.
Before interrupting the power supply, ensure the
fuel cell is in the
"No power and heat generation"
operating status.
Note
The shutdown phase of the fuel cell takes approx.
1-2 hours until operating status
"No power and
heat generation"
is reached.
3.
Turn off both ON/OFF switches
D
and
F
(see
page 22).
4.
Close the gas shut-off valve.
!
Please note
If outside temperatures of below 3 °C are
expected, take appropriate measures to pro-
tect the micro CHP system from frost.
If necessary, contact your heating contractor.
Note
■
As they are not being supplied with power, the circu-
lation pumps and diverter valves may seize up.
■
It may be necessary to reset the date and time (see
page 33).
Interrupting the external power supply to the micro CHP system

der is

■
The micro CHP system is disconnected from the
external power supply. The fuel cell is switched off.
Power generation is switched off.
Note
If the duration of the interruption of the external power
supply to the micro CHP system is more than 6 weeks,
trouble-free continued operation of the fuel cell can no
longer be guaranteed. In case of interruptions of more
than 6 weeks of the external power supply to the micro
CHP system, notify your heating contractor.
Unintentional interruption of external power supply
If the micro CHP system is disconnected from the
external power supply due to an external fault (e.g.
power cut, triggering of a safety device), power gener-
ation by the fuel cell is interrupted. When the external
power supply is reinstated once the fault has been rec-
tified, power generation resumes automatically.
1.
Switch off power generation by the fuel cell (see
page 23).
2.
Check the operating status of the fuel cell. For this,
call up the fuel cell menu in
"Information"
.
Before interrupting the power supply, ensure the
fuel cell is in the
"No power and heat generation"
operating status.
Note
The shutdown phase of the fuel cell takes approx.
1-2 hours until operating status
"No power and
heat generation"
is reached.
