Energy manager
–
optimising power generation
The integral energy manager is enabled at the factory.
■
During operation with the energy manager, the fuel
cell start times are matched to the power consump-
tion conditions. This causes power to be generated
as much as possible when there is a demand on site.
Fuel cell runtimes are moved to periods of high
power consumption. This increases the on-site con-
sumption rate.
You can choose from 2 operating strategies:
–
"Ecological"
: The optimal start point for the fuel
cell is calculated using specific emission factors to
achieve the lowest possible CO
2
emissions.
–
"Economical"
: The optimal start point for the fuel
cell is determined via parametrised values for
power supply price, feed-in remuneration and gas
price.
When there is no installed electricity meter, the
energy manager refers to a stored standard load pro-
file as the specific power consumption is unknown.
■
During operation without energy manager, the fuel
cell start times depend exclusively on the heat
demand of the system.
Information on operation with a power storage
system:
If the building mains has been disconnected from the
public grid (e.g. power cut), we recommend deacti-
vating the energy manager.

Please note
Avoid interruption of the external power supply
to the fuel cell during power generation.
Only switch the system off at ON/OFF switch
D
on the programming unit (see page 22). If an
interruption of the power supply is necessary,
see the next chapter. If necessary, notify your
heating contractor.
You can switch off heat generation and power genera-
tion by the fuel cell. See following chapter.
Switching off power generation by the fuel cell
Do
not
interrupt the external power supply to the fuel
cell.
You can switch off power generation by the fuel cell. All
functions of the heating circuits remain active. Heat is
generated exclusively by the gas condensing boiler.
