Top up with water until the charge pressure of the
cooled system is at least 1.0 bar (0.1 MPa), and is
0.1 to 0.2 bar (10 to 20 kPa) higher than the pre-
charge pressure of the expansion vessel.
Permiss. operating pressure: 3 bar (0.3 MPa)

against the valve. Water must flow from
the valve.
2.
If the flow rate is low, clean the valve or replace if
required.
Note
Installed length (including thread) of the sensor well for
the thermally activated safety valve: 155 mm.

Emissions test
After commissioning, the combustion equipment must
be approved by the local flue gas inspector. An emis-
sions test must be used to verify that the boiler meets
the currently applicable emission limits. The boiler
must be operated correctly in order to stay within these
limits. Apart from cleaning, this includes correct firing
and selection of suitable wood fuel.
The Vitoligno 200-S is a high performance wood gasifi-
cation boiler and must therefore be operated with a
sufficiently large buffer cylinder. In low load operation,
i.e. with the flue gas fan turned down, the required
emission levels cannot be achieved. Consequently, the
buffer cylinder must have a minimum volume of 55 l
per kW heating output.
Observe the following for the emissions test:
■
The packing cords only become impermeable after
the boiler has been operated for at least one week.
■
Carefully clean the flue gas fan, hopper, ash cham-
ber and secondary heating surfaces. See
pages 39, 35, 37 and 36.
■
Only use dry natural wood (see operating instruc-
tions, chapter "Fuel"). Wood with a higher moisture
content results in a reduced flame temperature and
consequently higher emission levels. Observe the
specified ideal log dimensions.
