◼
It is NOT recommended to operate the flail mower in temperatures below freezing. Hardened
steel (as used on flails) can become brittle in temperatures below freezing and may result in
breakage.

More Safety Tips for Safe Operation
◼
Always disconnect the PTO, stop the tractor’s motor, and put the keys in your pocket
before
attempting any alterations, repairs, or (height) adjustments.

Keep hands, feet, clothing, and other extremities away from any power-driven parts. Wear
snug-fitting clothing to avoid entanglement with moving parts.

Rules For Safe Transport On Public Roads
W A R N I N G !
•
Driving on public roads, slow-moving tractors, self-propelled
equipment, and towed implements can create a hazard. They are
challenging to see, especially at night.
•
Use flashing warning lights and turn signals whenever driving on public
roads. Use lights and devices provided with the implement.
◼
Comply with state and local laws governing highway safety and movement of farm machinery
on public roads.
◼
The maximum transport speed for any Victory implement is twenty mph on paved surfaces and
ten mph maximum on an unpaved surface. Do not exceed. Never travel at a speed that does
not allow adequate control of steering and stopping. Rough terrain requires a slower speed.
Traveling at excessive speed on rough terrain that causes violent shaking or bouncing will
damage the attachment point on the implement and/or the tractor. This type of damage is not
covered under warranty.
◼
Use the following maximum speed - for paved surfaces only:
-
20 mph when weight is less than or equal to the weight of the tractor.
-
10 mph when weight is more than the weight of the tractor.
◼
The use of flashing amber lights is acceptable in most localities. However, some localities
prohibit their use. Local laws should be checked for all lighting and marking requirements.
◼
At all times, when driving the tractor and equipment on the road or highway under 20 m.p.h.
(32 km/h) use flashing amber warning lights and a slow-moving vehicle (SMV) identification
emblem. Do not exceed 20 m.p.h. (32 km/h). Reduce speed on rough roads and surfaces.
◼
Plan your route to avoid heavy traffic.
◼
Always install transport locks, pins, or brackets before transporting.
◼
Do not drink and drive.
◼
Be a safe and courteous driver. Always yield to oncoming traffic in all situations, including
narrow bridges, intersections, etc. Watch for traffic when operating near or crossing roadways.
