Assembly of A132098430
• Assemble plugs (25),(26) and
tighten max. 3 kgm.
• In order to prevent any leak of
oil, make the following test:
insufflate from the hole plug
(28) to pressure bar 0.32 and
put the gearbox in a tank; if
you prefer you can verify any
pressure drop with a
manometer assembled in hole
plug (25),(scale about 0.6 bar)
for 2 minute, pressure drop
admitted 0.001 bar.
• Repeat the same test on the
other gearbox.
• Dry the gearbox
• Fill the gearbox with oil SAE
90EP.
• Assemble plugs (28) and
tighten max, 3 kgm.

• Verify the right mesh between
gears, (see the technical
specifications on page 15), the
value must be 0.18÷0.49 mm.
• In order to have the correct
backlash, change shims set
(4),(5) (figure 2.4-2.7), (please
be aware that when you
change the shims set, you will
also have to re-set the
preload).
• Disassemble bolts (19) upper
gearbox (8a).
• Apply Silicone film on contact
faces between housing (8a)
and extension (14).
• Apply Loctite 270 film on thread
bolts (19).
• Assemble gearbox (8a), bolts
(19) and tighten to 7.7÷8.3
kgm.

• In order to have the correct
backlash, change shims set
(4a),(5) (figure 2.4-2.5),
(please be aware that when
you change the shims set you
will also have to re-set the
preload).
• Disassemble bolts (19b) and
extension (14).
• Apply Silicone film on contact
faces between housing (8b)
and extension (14).
• Apply Loctite 270 film on
thread bolts (19b).
• Assemble pre-mounted
extension (14), bolts (19b)
and tighten to 7.7÷8.3 kgm.
• Assemble upper gearbox (8a),
bolts (19) and tighten
manually.
• Lock the shaft (10b) and
rotate manually the shaft
(10a) in the work direction.

Tools
: Fork wrench n° 13-17-19,
pliers, Allen screw wrench n° 8,
comparator, chisel, hammer.
• In order to test the right mesh
between gears, use a color
like Prussian blue on the four
gears’ teething.
• Assemble lower gearbox (8b)
with pre-mounted extension
(14), bolts (19b) and tighten
manually.
• Lock the gear (7) and rotate
manually the shaft (10b) in the
work direction.
• Verify the right mesh between
gears, (see the technical
specifications on page 15),
the value must be 0.16÷0.43
mm.
