6.4.6 SLT Station Modular Jack Wiring
SLT Station modular jacks are terminated with two (2) SLT circuits to an RJ11 jack as
shown in the chart below. To wire the SLT Station modular jacks,
1. Wire each SLT Station modular jack to the termination point.
2. Tag the wiring for future maintenance.

6.4.7 WTIB4 Base Station Modular Jack Wiring
The WTIB4 has four RJ11 modular jacks for connection to GDC600BE DECT Base
Stations. The connectors are terminated as shown in the chart below. Special care is
needed when wiring the WTIB4 modular jacks. As shown in Figure 6.4.7-1, a Ferrite core,
which is provided with the Base Station, must be installed on the wiring to each modular
jack to minimize induced interference. After completing installation and initial power-up of
the SUMMIT IP system, the DECT Base Stations can be located and installed as directed
in the DECT Installation manual, GDC-600TBE (CRS tool) user manual. After installing the
Base Stations, the DECT handsets can be subscribed to the Base Stations and registered
to the system.
To wire the WTIB4 modular jacks,
1. Assure power to the KSU is OFF. Failure to remove power can cause serious
damage to the WTIB4, Base Station and the KSU electronics.
2. For each jack, terminate the WTIB4 wiring in an RJ11 modular plug terminated in 2-
pair UTP Cat 3 or better wiring following the pin assignments shown in the modular
jack wiring chart below.
3. Pass the wiring through the Ferrite core. Creating at least three turns through the
core as shown in Figure 6.4.7-1.
4. Terminate the wiring to the Base Station termination point using the terminations as
shown in Table 6.4.7-1.
5. Tag or number wiring for maintenance.
NOTE
During installation of the Base Stations access to the WTIB4 may be required. It is
recommended that the WTIB4 be mounted on the CN1 connector as the lower optional
Interface board.
