Config.txt File
Config.txt
is used to store much of the user configuration. You can edit this file to change a
variety of settings. At the top of the
config.txt
file you will see a version as shown below:
# This can help you to identify different STB configuration files.
stb.config.version: v2.5.1-vbk
When upgrading between releases, new features are added and new settings will appear in this
file. The version will also change. If you have made changes to the configuration, you will
want to make sure that you have saved those changes. In order to take advantage of the newer
config.txt
file, you will want to merge your file into the new one. CAUTION: Performing a
factory default will guarantee that you get the very latest
config.txt
file but will overwrite
your changes. You should always have a copy of your
config.txt
saved elsewhere.
