Using the Remote Control (VEMS 6.x)
Portal Server Mode
Button
Function
Info
Portal Server mode only. Displays information about the currently
selected stream. Press Info to again to exit.
Red
Press once to put the unit in standby (the screen will be blank but
the unit can still be scheduled to play streams). Press a second time
to reboot the unit.
Mute
Mute/unmute volume. Use the volume controls on the display
device to set volume.
Caption
Show or hide closed captions. Not supported on all TVs.
0–9
Portal Server mode. Enter a PIN, or enter a search string using the
number keypad for text entry.
You may also enter a channel number directly to switch the channel
(live channels only). See: Using the Remote Control to Change the
Channel.
Enter
Press when input complete.
Clear
Deletes the previous digit or character when entering search
parameters or a PIN.
Page
Move to top, bottom, next, or previous page.
Menu
Toggle the Menu on or off.
Back
Not active.
Vol
Adjust the audio up or down.
CH
Advance channel up or down. Works only on Full Screen Live
Video page.
OK
Select and play the highlighted channel. Initiate an action or select
an option depending on cursor focus.
Arrows
Change focus to next item; select previous stream.
Prev
Not active.
Next
Not active.
RW
VOD content only: Rewind the current stream.
Play/Pause
Play/Pause the selected stream
FF
VOD content only: fast forward the current stream
Help
Press repeatedly during power-up to display setup pages.
Full Screen
Go to fullscreen; exit fullscreen.
Rec
Starts or stops a recording
. During recording, a red indicator is shown in lower right area
of window.
Stop
If playing an RTSP stream, this button will stop the stream.
Search
Display the search window. Press Search again to exit window.
Live
Go to Live Video page.
