Automatic Backup
To configure automatic backup requires the following steps:
1.
In the IDENTIKEY Appliance Configuration Tool, click on
System and > Backup & Restore
.
2.
Check the
Use Custom Encryption
box, if required. You will then need to enter and confirm a pass phrase.
3.
Select the relevant check box for the
Automatic Backup Protocol
to be used on the backup server and
complete the required fields. There are two possible protocols:
FTP
: File Transfer Protocol
SFTP
: Secure File Transfer Protocol. With this protocol, the SFTP server sends an encrypted
fingerprint of its public host key to ensure that the SFTP connection is with the correct server.
Connection is only possible if the fingerprint is known to the IDENTIKEY Appliance. For this purpose,
either:
Copy and paste the fingerprint into the
SSH Fingerprint
field; the fingerprint should be
generated with the RSA algorithm.
Enter the SFTP server, directory and authentication settings, and click on the
Fetch
Fingerprint
option (see image below right) for auto completion of the
Fingerprint
field.
